Stunning on a few different levels.

Robert Kraft is on the record being a big fan of Mac Jones.
Competent QB on a rookie deal — which Jones showed he was in Year 1 — has massive value.
Also… Rare we get a whiff of a potential big move in NE. Often air tight until they happen. https://t.co/twuoVKEKDX
INSTANT REACTION via @ZoandBertrand on the report from @ProFootballTalk that Bill Belichick has shopped Mac Jones this offseason.

The Patriots have reportedly shopped Mac Jones to other teams this off-season. Trying to trade him after giving him a defensive coordinator as his Offensive Coordinator and a special teams coach as his QB Coach last year is MIND BLOWING.

The fact that this could even be a discussion is tremendously dysfunctional. And what’s worse: Mac Jones looking bad/asking for outside help last year is largely Belichick’s fault. https://t.co/CycY1aQaLe

Already trying to reset a year after making the playoffs with a rookie quarterback? That would not be a great look. https://t.co/xHZGDu4XWh

It's wild to me that this report comes out two weeks after the Patriots held the Devin McCourty ceremony, during which Mac Jones was seated in the second row and praised by McCourty -- with Belichick also present -- as a franchise leader. https://t.co/rFn2n9Zjev

The offensive dysfunction was felt on all levels of the offense and by all position groups. There were coaches who knew that this system/play calling/play design was not up to previous standards set in Foxboro with Josh McDaniels in charge. The players felt it.
