According to reports, the Los Angeles Rams are aiming to enhance their pass rush and receiving unit, and they may address the latter by considering LSU's Kayshon Boutte or Michigan State's Jayden Reed.
As per general manager Les Snead, the Los Angeles Rams have had a rather "unexciting" offseason and presently do not have a selection in the 2023 NFL Draft until the second round.
The Los Angeles Rams, aiming to recover from a disappointing 5-12 season plagued by injuries, hold 11 picks in this year's draft and are expected to be active.
According to ESPN sources, the Rams' top priorities are adding pass-rushers and pass-catchers. While the team seeks younger players to support Aaron Donald's pass-rushing abilities, their primary focus is on improving their offensive line-up, particularly with Cooper Kupp returning from a significant ankle injury.
The Rams' lack of dependable receivers is a critical area of concern, and the addition of impactful players in both areas could help to alleviate pressure on Kupp and Donald. As of now, it remains unclear which players the Rams have their sights set on.
Jayden Reed and Kayshon Boutte are both potential middle-round picks closely linked to the Rams, according to ESPN. Reed, a 2021 All-American and All-Big Ten honoree, caught 55 passes for 639 yards and seven touchdowns for Michigan State last season while also excelling as a punt returner. Boutte, who had a standout freshman campaign at LSU, believes he can make an immediate impact in the NFL with his speed and route running.
He set a single-game SEC record with 14 receptions for 308 yards in his opening season. Both wideouts could have the opportunity to play alongside Kupp for the Rams in the upcoming season.
